Leadership Team
Caleb is the Founder and CEO of Helping Captives, a leading anti-trafficking organization in the Pacific Northwest, the host of the Transforming Communities podcast, and the founder of Bikers Helping Captives, a motorcycle ministry raising trafficking awareness and sharing the hope of Christ. A Christian leader, husband, father, public speaker, and community advocate, he brings more than 15 years of nonprofit and ministry executive experience. Once an addict and high school dropout, Caleb’s life was radically transformed in 2007 after an encounter with God. Since then, he has led teams that introduced thousands to Jesus, walked alongside over 500 survivors, and raised millions for Kingdom initiatives. His greatest passion is seeing lives restored and helping others discover their God-given calling to impact culture for Christ.
Wil is the Chief Operating Officer for Helping Captives, overseeing day-to-day operations and the implementation of the organization’s long-term strategic plan. With nearly 15 years of nonprofit experience as a Board Member, Executive Director, and Development Director—and a 21-year career in the US Navy as a Command Master Chief Petty Officer—he brings extensive leadership and organizational management expertise. Wil is committed to advancing the mission of Helping Captives and building the future envisioned by the board and senior leadership team. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Historical Studies from Chaminade University, a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, and has completed doctoral-level coursework in leadership theory, management practices, and organizational development.
Anja holds a bachelor’s in psychology and a master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, EMDR-trained therapist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with a focus on sexual exploitation. With extensive experience in community mental health specializing in complex PTSD, she has 25 years of ministry experience and spent the last five years working with survivors of sex trafficking, building Helping Captives’ recovery and stabilization programs. A leading survivor expert in Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA), she trains ministries nationwide to better serve survivors of SRA and trafficking. Anja is passionate about helping survivors rediscover their God-given identity through therapy, education, mentoring, and the redemptive love of Jesus Christ. She has been married for 30 years and is a mother of six with two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren, and she loves worship, exercise, and equipping the Church to walk in its full authority.
Nancy has been working in the non-profit world for over 10 years. She has a Bachelors in Social Work & many years of community engagement experience through both professional recruiting & sales in the corporate world, volunteer development with nonprofits and involved locally & socially through recovery groups, churches and other organizations. She is a survivor of suicide loss associated with sex-trafficking and has a deep passion to make an impact through her relationships bringing hope to women who have been abused through the transforming love of Jesus Christ.
Shelley has an extensive background in executive administration with an educational focus in Business Management. During her 25 year employment with the State of Washington she served in human resource, project management, leadership and executive support roles. She also has over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, serving as a board member and event coordinator at a Christian school. Shelley has a special place in her heart for both foster families and young military families. She believes everyone is blessed with God given talents and abilities and that we are called to use them "for such a time as this." ~ Esther 4:14
Tiffaney Paris holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design from Eastern Washington University and has extensive experience in graphic design, content creation, and marketing. Her diverse background also includes teaching Art, Special Education, and Business Technology across Elementary, High School, and College levels. Driven by her passion for helping others, Tiffaney is deeply committed to seeing lives transformed through the restorative power of the Gospel.
Beth has an extensive background in retail management. Her previous experience includes ten years with Nordstrom Rack and managing the Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store for three years. Beth has a passion for serving people and loving Jesus.
Matt was born and raised in Snohomish County. He graduated from Mountlake Terrace High School in 1983, after which he attended Northwest Christian College, followed by Oregon State University. He served in the military and also had a long (and continuing) career as a martial arts instructor. Over the course of 40 years Matt worked in group and private executive protection. His passions in his life are his lovely wife, his three adult children and one grandchild, his dog Gladys, and MOST importantly his loving and magnificent Savior Jesus Christ who gives guidance and true purpose to Matt's entire life!
